An insecticide for the use of rice for the control of green leafhopper and rice stem borer. COMPOSITION: Active Ingredients: Thiamethoxam 200 Chlorantraniliprole 200 Inerts 600 Virtako 40 WG is a broad spectrum insecticide that can control insects through contact and ingestion. It stops insect feeding immediately and has long residual activity. It is highly effective against sucking and chewing insects. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Fill the spray tank with water half full. Put in the required amount of product, and then add water to fill up the tank. Maintain agitation while topping up. Always stir the spray mixture well and apply within a few hours. Wet the whole plant thoroughly but avoid run-off and spray-drift to non-target sites. Do not spray during hot hours of the day or if foliage is wet or if rain is imminent. Do not overdose by overlapping applications or by exceeding the recommended rate. FREQUENCY AND TIMING OF APPLICATION: Virtako 40 WG will be applied at 15days intervals for a maximum of 3 applications per cropping period. Application starts depending on pest occurrence. RE-ENTRY PERIOD: Do not enter treated area for 24 hours unless protective clothing is worn. RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT: Chlorantraniliprole represents the IRAC Mode of Action Group 28 and should Not be rotated with other Group 28 products containing the same mode of action. DO NOT also rotate with other neonicotinoid or ryanodine receptor modulator containing products. It is highly recommended to have a rotation with insecticides of different modes of action. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN PRECAUTIONS: Do not breathe vapor or spray mist. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product. SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF POISONING: No case of human poisoning is on record. Under laboratory condition, unspecific poisoning symptoms were observed in rats. FIRST AID: If poisoning is suspected, stop work immediately and call a physician. Show label to the physician. In case of contact with skin, remove contaminated clothing, wash affected body parts immediately with plenty of water and soap. When in contact with eyes, rinse splashes with abundant fresh and clean water for several minutes. If inhaled, move patient 10 fresh air. If swallowed, repeatedly administer medicinal charcoal in plenty of water. Seek medical advice if a large volume of concentrate was ingested. Note: NEVER give anything by mouth to an unconscious patient and NEVER induce vomiting. NOTE TO THE PHYSICIAN: No specific antidote is known; treat symptomatically. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store away from sun and damp areas and keep in a well-ventilated area apart from food and feed, under lock and key. Avoid storage above 35°C. Dilute surplus application mixture by pouring it broadcast on fallow land. Bury empty sachets in a safe place, away from water supplies. ENVIRONMENT AND WILDLIFE: VIRTAKO 40 WG is toxic to bees. Do not apply foliar when bees are actively foraging. It is toxic to aquatic organisms. However, under practical conditions, at recommended dose rates, no adverse effects have been observed. DO NOT contaminate water used for irrigation or domestic purpose, or water areas such as flowing or stagnant water by the disposal of product wastes. DO NOT contaminate food or feed.
