A broad spectrum
carbamate insecticide with strong contact and stomach action for the control
of certain insect pests of asparagus, banana, beans, corn, sorghum, eggplant,
melons, mung bean, rice, string beans, soybean, tobacco, and tomato.
DIRECTION FOR USE:
**FOR TABLE, SEE
NOTE: Apply a maximum of
2 sprays of DuPont™ LANNATE® applied back-to-back in any one crop
cycle, targeted at a single pest generation and then alternate with other products
belonging to a different insecticide chemistry and registered for the same
pest and crop.
FREQUENCY AND METHOD
OF APPLICATION: Begin
spraying when target insect pests appear. Repeat applications every 5-7 days.
Apply a maximum of 2 consecutive DuPont'** LANNATE sprays, then alternate
with other products with a different chemistry. Fill the sprayer to
half capacity, thoroughly mix the product in a bucket, pour mixture into the
sprayer and fill to full capacity. Stir to ensure uniform dilution. Follow
recommended rates, spray volume for the crop and calibrate appropriately for
the stage at the timing the product is to be applied. Avoid unnecessary
successive applications throughout the crop season, as pest control failure
may result in subsequent crop plantings.
ADJUVANT USE: In some situations
where coverage is difficult to achieve such as closed canopy, dense foliage,
plants with waxy leaf surfaces, or less than optimum applications equipment,
an adjuvant may improve performance. Use a proven and recommended adjuvant
that does not affect foliage and/or fruit finish. Tank mixes of DuPont™
LANNATE® with spreading and penetrating adjuvants can result in
TANK MIX SEQUENCE:

Dry formulations in water soluble bags [SP]; b. Tablets; c. Dry Flowables
[DF], Water-dispersible granules [WDG]; d. Wettable Powders [WP]).
SUSPENSION CONCENTRATES, LIQUID FLOWABLES.
3. LIQUID WSB (a.

4. EC’s CROP OIL
CONCENTRATES [COC] & NON-AQUEOUS SOLUBLE CONCENTRATES [SC].
CLEANOUT: Prior to application, start with clean, well-maintained application
equipment. Immediately following application, thoroughly clean all spray
equipment to reduce the risk of forming hardened deposits which might become
difficult to remove. Drain spray equipment. Thoroughly rinse sprayer and
flush hoses, boom, and nozzles with clean water. Loosen and physically remove
all visible deposits. Fill the sprayer with clean water and add household
ammonia (1 gallon of 3% active for every 100 gallon of water) or correct
amounts of a DuPont approved cleaner. Flush hoses, boom, and nozzles. Turn
off the boom and top off the tank with clean water. Circulate through the
spraying system for at least 15 minutes. Then, flush the water. Circulate
through the spraying system for at least 15 minutes. Then, flush the hoses,
boom, and nozzles with the cleaning solution. Drain the tank. Remove and
clean nozzles, screens, strainers, in a bucket of fresh clean water.
Thoroughly rinse the associated application equipment. Take all necessary
safety precautions when cleaning equipment. Do not clean near wells, water
sources of desirable vegetation. Dispose of waste rinse in water in
accordance with local regulations.
RE-ENTRY PERIOD: Twelve hours after
CONTAINER DISPOSAL: Store in a cool, dry place. Do not reuse
container. Completely empty the contents and bury the containers away from
water suppliers. Triple rise empty containers before disposal. Do not
contaminate water, other pesticides, fertilizer, food or feed in storage. Do
not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
MANAGEMENT STATEMENT: Some insects are known to develop resistance to
products used repeatedly for its control. When this occurs, the recommended
dosages fail to suppress the pest population below the economic threshold.
Because the development of resistance can be predicted, the use of this
produce should conform to resistance management strategies established by
DuPont Crop Protection for the use area. These strategies may include
incorporation of cultural and biological control practices, alternation of
active classes of insecticides on succeeding generations and targeting the
most susceptible life stage. Consult your local agricultural authorities for
WARNING: This product may be
harmful if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin.
PRECAUTIONS: Store in original
container, tightly closed, away from food and feed under lock and key. Do not
eat, drink, or smoke while mixing and spraying. Avoid breathing spray mist.
Wear protective waterproof clothing, rubber gloves and goggles, masks, and
rubber boots when handling the concentrate. Wash hands, face, and exposed
skin after use, before eating, drinking, or smoking. Wash separately
contaminated clothing and protective equipment after each use. Bury empty
containers. Avoid contamination of sources or bodies of water with chemical
or empty containers.
This pesticide is
toxic to fish and wildlife. Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where
surface water is present. Do not contaminate water when cleaning equipment or
disposing of equipment wash waters or rinsate. Do not apply where/when
conditions favor run-off. Run-off from treated areas may be hazardous to
aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. Toxic to silkworms. Do not allow
product if bees are visiting the treatment area. Toxic to silkworms. Do not

and symptoms of acute poisoning include excessive sweating, tearing of eyes,
salivation, headache, giddiness, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, abdominal
cramps, diarrhea, chest tightness and discomfort and constricted pupils. In
severe poisoning, muscle twitching and inability to walk, coma, and

FIRST AID TREATMENT: Atropine sulfate
should be used for treatment. Administer repeated doses, 1.2 to 2.0
intravenously every 10 to 30 minutes until full atropinization is achieved.
Maintain atrophinization until the patient recovers. Artificial respiration
or oxygen may be necessary. Allow no further exposure to any cholinesterase
inhibitor until recovery is assured.
DO NOT use 2-PAM for
exposure to DuPont™ LANNATE® alone. However, for exposure to
combination of DuPont™ LANNATE® and organophosphorus
insecticides, 2-PAM may be used as required to supplement the atropine
sulfate treatment. Do not use morphine.
