Rimon 10 EC is an insect growth regulator, which acts as chitin inhibitor, thereby causing abnormal endocuticular deposition and abortive molting. It acts mainly by ingestion but has shown some contact activity. Rimon 10 EC is active against insects resistant to organophosphate, carbamates, and pyrethroid insecticides.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Always shake well the container before use. Fill the sprayer with one hand of the required amount of water. Add the rate of Rimon 10 EC and mix thoroughly before adding the remaining portion of water. Apply Rimon 10 EC as high-volume spray when insect populations first appear. Repeat application as the need arises after 7-14 days. Apply at least two consecutive application maximum of three, to ensure full activity of the product. Spraying should be done on dry calm days and plants should be thoroughly wetted. Prepared sprayed mixture should be used immediately.

COMPATIBILITY: The compatibility of Rimon 10 EC with other products may be influenced by their formulation and nature of spray water. It is there therefore recommended that test must be done before mixing with other pesticides.

PRE-HARVEST INTERVAL: Do not spray Rimon 10 EC at least one week before harvest.

RE-ENTRY PERIOD: Entry to field and crops treated with Rimon 10 EC can be done one day after spraying.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store in a cool, dry place away from food, food containers, and feedstuffs. Opened containers should be stored safely and the contents must be used within a few days. Empty containers should not be reused and should be destroyed and burned in deep pits far from sources of water. Do not sore below 5°C and above 35°C.

SYMPTOMS OF POISONING: Signs and symptoms of acute poisoning due to Rimon 10 EC include vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea. On skin contact, may cause redness, edema, or dermatitis. When inhaled, may result to coughing, shortness of breath, chemical pneumonia, lung edema, and bronchospasm. On eye contact, may cause redness and tears.

FIRST AID: In all cases call a physician or the National Poisons Control and Information Services office immediately and seek medical advice on treatment of the patient.

If swallowed, and patient is conscious, induce vomiting by giving one or two glasses of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention immediately. On skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin with soap and plenty of water. Get medical attention immediately. On eye contamination, wash eyes immediately with plenty of clean running water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention immediately.
