NOTE: Apply a maximum of 2 sprays of DuPont™ LANNATE® applied back-to-back in any one crop cycle, targeted at a single pest generation and then alternate with other products belonging to a different insecticide chemistry and registered for the same pest and crop.
FREQUENCY AND METHOD OF APPLICATION: Begin spraying when target insect pests appear. Repeat applications every 5-7 days. Apply a maximum of 2 consecutive DuPont'** LANNATE sprays, then alternate with other products with a different chemistry. Fill the sprayer to half capacity, thoroughly mix the product in a bucket, pour mixture into the sprayer and fill to full capacity. Stir to ensure uniform dilution. Follow recommended rates, spray volume for the crop and calibrate appropriately for the stage at the timing the product is to be applied. Avoid unnecessary successive applications throughout the crop season, as pest control failure may result in subsequent crop plantings.
ADJUVANT USE: In some situations where coverage is difficult to achieve such as closed canopy, dense foliage, plants with waxy leaf surfaces, or less than optimum applications equipment, an adjuvant may improve performance. Use a proven and recommended adjuvant that does not affect foliage and/or fruit finish. Tank mixes of DuPont™ LANNATE® with spreading and penetrating adjuvants can result in crop response.
TANK MIX SEQUENCE:
1. DRY PRODUCTS (a. Dry formulations in water soluble bags [SP]; b. Tablets; c. Dry Flowables [DF], Water-dispersible granules [WDG]; d. Wettable Powders [WP]).
2. AQEUOUS SUSPENSION CONCENTRATES, LIQUID FLOWABLES.
3. LIQUID WSB (a. Gels; b. Emulsifiable concentrates [EC]).
4. EC’s CROP OIL CONCENTRATES [COC] & NON-AQUEOUS SOLUBLE CONCENTRATES [SC].
5. SURFACTANTS, TRUE SOLUTIONS.
6. LIQUID FERTILIZERS, MICRONUTRIENTS
7. ANTI-DRIFT ADDITIVES
TANK SPRAYER CLEANOUT: Prior to application, start with clean, well-maintained application equipment. Immediately following application, thoroughly clean all spray equipment to reduce the risk of forming hardened deposits which might become difficult to remove. Drain spray equipment. Thoroughly rinse sprayer and flush hoses, boom, and nozzles with clean water. Loosen and physically remove all visible deposits. Fill the sprayer with clean water and add household ammonia (1 gallon of 3% active for every 100 gallon of water) or correct amounts of a DuPont approved cleaner. Flush hoses, boom, and nozzles. Turn off the boom and top off the tank with clean water. Circulate through the spraying system for at least 15 minutes. Then, flush the water. Circulate through the spraying system for at least 15 minutes. Then, flush the hoses, boom, and nozzles with the cleaning solution. Drain the tank. Remove and clean nozzles, screens, strainers, in a bucket of fresh clean water. Thoroughly rinse the associated application equipment. Take all necessary safety precautions when cleaning equipment. Do not clean near wells, water sources of desirable vegetation. Dispose of waste rinse in water in accordance with local regulations.
RE-ENTRY PERIOD: Twelve hours after spraying.
STORAGE AND CONTAINER DISPOSAL: Store in a cool, dry place. Do not reuse container. Completely empty the contents and bury the containers away from water suppliers. Triple rise empty containers before disposal. Do not contaminate water, other pesticides, fertilizer, food or feed in storage. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
RESISTANT MANAGEMENT STATEMENT: Some insects are known to develop resistance to products used repeatedly for its control. When this occurs, the recommended dosages fail to suppress the pest population below the economic threshold. Because the development of resistance can be predicted, the use of this produce should conform to resistance management strategies established by DuPont Crop Protection for the use area. These strategies may include incorporation of cultural and biological control practices, alternation of active classes of insecticides on succeeding generations and targeting the most susceptible life stage. Consult your local agricultural authorities for details.
WARNING: This product may be harmful if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin.
