Guard Max 247 is a modern insecticide formulation containing the systemic Thiamethoxam (141 g/L) for the control of sucking pests and the potent pyrethroid Lambda-cyhalothrin (106 g/L) for the control of chewing pests. This combination is a broad spectrum insecticidal mixture to control any sucking of chewing pests. Its rapid transformation penetration into a plant surface provides effective control of pests and is not washed off easily by heavy rainfall occurring with a few hours after treatment. It has an excellent residual activity at a very low rate with a very good crop tolerance.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Guard Max 247 ZC is registered for use on crops and pests listed below. Mix with water as indicated. For vegetables and corn. Apply using a 16-liter knapsack sprayer using a spray volume of 480 liters/ha of 30 tank loads per hectare. For mango, apply using a power sprayer/ For banana, apply as bud injection at an average volume of . For rice, apply using a 16-liter knapsack sprayer at a spray volume of 192 liters/ha.

FREQUENCY AND TIMING OF APPLICATION:
Note: DO NOT APPLY foliar when bees are actively foraging.
Potato and Eggplant: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation and repeat every 7–10-day interval if necessary for a maximum of 3 applications per cropping season. Ampalaya: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation and repeat every 7–15-day interval if necessary for a maximum of 7 applications per cropping season. Stringbeans: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation and repeat 7–10-day intervals if necessary for a maximum of 2 applications per cropping system. Corn: Apply starting when pest population starts to build up and repeat every 10-15-day interval, if necessary, for a maximum of 7 applications at 10 cropping season. Mango: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation and repeat as necessary for maximum of 7 applications at 10-day intervals per cropping season. Do not apply during full bloom stage (or kabanguhan) at bud emergence using 60 ml solution per bud. Rice: Apply at the start of the pest population buld-up and will be repeated at 15-20-day intervals or as necessary, for a maximum of 3 applications per cropping season.
RE-ENTRY PERIOD: Do not enter treated fields for at least 1 day after application.
PRODUCT STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Keep product closed and stored on original containers. Store in a well-ventilated area, away from the sun and moisture, under lock and key. Keep away from food feeds, fertilizers, herbicides. If spillage occurs, suppressed spilled product with absorptive substance such as sand and soil. Collect contaminated cleaning materials in specially marked closed containers. Disposed contaminated materials in an incinerator or approved landfill for chemicals. Triple rinse the container and add rinse solution to spray tank. Puncture or break bottle and bury in a place away from resources.

WARNING: This product may be harmful if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin. The solvent may cause moderate irritation and mild eye irritation.
PRECATIONS: Wear overalls or long-sleeved shirt and long trousers, gloves, and face/eye protection when mixing; wear overalls or long-sleeved shirt and long trousers, and solid footwear when spraying. Avoid breathing in spray mist and avoid accidental skin contact. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product, wash hands before doing so. SYMPTOMS OF POISONING: For Lamda-cyhalothrin, ingestion may produce nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Severe cases may result to ataxia, convulsion, and coma. May also cause skin and eye irritation. Exposure of the face to the product concentrate may cause a transient tingling or burning sensation. For thiamethoxam, no case of human poisoning is on record. Under laboratory conditions, unspecific poisoning symptoms were observed in rats.
FIRST AID: If poisoning is suspected, call a physician immediately. After accidental skin contact, strip off contaminated clothing and wash area with plenty of water and soap. Rinse splashes for eyes with abundant with fresh and clean water for at least 15 minutes. If inhaled, move to clean air. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration. If ingested, seek medical actions immediately.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: If ingested, carry out gastric lavage with care to prevent aspiration. Administer symptomatic and supportive treatment.
