S&P 2,4-D AMINE is a selective water-soluble hormone type herbicide. It is registered as a post-emergence herbicide in transplanted rice, corn, and sugarcane.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
MIXING: Pour slowly while stirring the recommended rate of S&P 2,4-D AMINE into the water to produce a thorough mixture. NOTE: S&P 2,4-D AMINE does not emulsify or turn milky when mixed with water.
COMPATIBILITY: S&P 2,4-D AMINE is generally compatible with commonly used herbicides. Non-compatible with very acidic spray magnesium sulphate and lime sulfur.
RE-ENTRY PERIOD: Entry to fields and crops treated with S&P 2,4-D AMINE can be done after spraying.
WARNING: THIS PRODUCT MAY BE HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED, INHALED, OR ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN.
PRECAUTIONS: Keep product in original container, tightly closed away from feeds and foodstuffs. Avoid spraying near fruit trees and vegetable crops. Wash sprayer thoroughly with detergent and water before using it on other chemicals. Dispose product wastewater away from water supply. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while using this product. Do not get into eyes and skin. Avoid inhaling fumes and spray mist. Wear protective clothing, safety mask, and waterproof gloves and overalls or an old sleeved shirt particularly when handling the concentrate. Do not spray against the wind. Wash hands, arms, and face with soap and water before eating and smoking. Bury excess chemical and empty containers.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF POISONING: Burning sensation on the skin and mucous membranes, cough, and other manifestation of irritations. In case of ingestion, symptoms are hypersalivation, stomach cramps, vomiting, and diarrhea. If it gets into the eyes, may cause conjunctivitis. Other reported symptoms, induce convulsion, cerebral depressions, mental confusion with difficulty in speaking, a general conduction in motor activity, ataxia, and incoordination. Reflexes gradually disappear, in severe cases, coma may develop followed by death, The pulse may be rapid and sometimes irregular with low blood pressure. Ventricular fibrillation has been reported. Kidney and liver damage have been reported in animal experiments.
FIRST AID: If swallowed: If patient is conscious, give 1 glass of water and induce vomiting by touching back of the throat or pressing back of the tongue with a finger or blunt instrument. Repeat procedure until vomit fluid is clear in appearance. Consult physician immediately. If on eyes: Flush immediately with running water for at least 15 minutes, get medical attention immediately. If on skin: Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected areas with plain soap and water. If irritation occurs, get medical attention immediately. If inhaled: Remove patient from contaminated area and bring patient to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, apply artificial respiration. Get medical attention as soon as possible.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: 2,4-D is a chlorophanoxy compound that causes moderate irritation to the skin and mucous membranes. It contains nonanol, an anti-foaming agent. In case of systemic poisoning, promote alkaline diuresis with intravenous biocarbonate. Treatment is symptomatic & supportive. Never give atropine, aspirin, or other antipyretic to control fever.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store with other herbicides in a cool place away from insecticides, fungicides, fertilizer, and seeds and from food, food container and animals or pets. Keep away from heat and open flames. Empty container should never be used and should be destroyed and buried in deep pits far from sources of water.
